I also recommend that one of the players who share a router be the host of the game, as I do not know the stability of two LAN players connecting to the same host that is not on their network. If all players are on the same network and you are not trying to play with anyone else on separate internet connection, WaW has the native function to just play LAN games without any hassle. My guide skips all of the "obvious steps" if you have port forwarded in the past.īefore really getting into it, this guide only applies to people attempting to play with 2 or more players on a single router, but also have 1 or more players on a different router all trying to connect to a single server. This website goes in depth as to what you are really doing and explains how to port forward and find your IP and anything else that is basic. Generally following the instructions on this site is the way to go: Sorry for the 4 year necro, but I found a solution that is not really mentioned anywhere.
